Braga take big step towards Group Stage

July 28/10

Braga have taken a big step in moving closer to the Champions League Group Stage after a crushing defeat over Scottish side Celtic. Braga opened the scoring in the 26th minute when Alan converted a penalty kick after a Celtic's Ki Sung-Yung commited a hand ball fault in the box. Braga then made it 2-0 in the second half as Elderson got his leg on a corner kick past the Celtic keeper, Matheus pushed the Braga total to three at the 87th minute mark when his free kick from 35 yards out got past Zaluska. Braga now travel to Scotland next week with a big goal differential lead and look posed to move onto to the playoff stage in which this round of winners will earn a spot in the lucrative Champions League Group Stage.
