Benfica extend lead atop Portugal

Benfica have extended their lead atop the Portuguese League with a 1-0 victory over basement dwellers Belenenses. Oscar Cardozo scored in the 9th minute converting a Ramires cross into the net with his head. Benfica now sit atop the Portuguese League by four points on Braga who have two games in hand on coming tomorrow against Maritimo.

FC Porto were held to a scoreless draw at Leixoes today while Sporting and Pacos Ferreira played to a scoreless draw yesterday.
